Yoga Sadhus “Why are you going to India?!” – asked my friend when I announced I am going to Goa for a yoga teacher training course. “India is the only place where we should learn real Yoga” – I answered smiling gently – “This is a place where Yoga comes from, its root and its whole history – scriptures, gurus, styles, philosophy… I cannot imagine I am not doing it in India!”
Yoga TTC Course in Goa
West adopted Yoga very nicely – usefully and attractively, however everyone who tried Yoga in India can clearly see that at the same time West missed something in Yoga, something very important, maybe even essential. Yoga is not a fitness or sport’s discipline, Yoga is not an acrobatics, Yoga is not a performance, Yoga is not only a body work… We missed in the West some deeper meaning of Yoga and we limited Yoga to asana practice. Yoga Teacher Training Course I came to India to discover this deeper layer, I came for the peace of mind, for a meditation and an understanding what “spirituality” means.
Practice Yoga.

Yoga is a powerful tool – it can give you the control over your body and mind. While Western teachers understood its bodywork, they seemed to forget another part and perhaps the biggest challenge and need for us – Yoga can help to get the control over the mind as well! The mind which is always working, active, full of desires, fears, fights and tension. Yoga Teacher Training Course The mind which never stops and has a big influence on our body, mood, and happiness. Yoga Teacher Training Course The minds which causes many troubles (inside and outside). The mind which seems to control us and our life, although we should be its master. The question is who is actually driving here – the bus or the driver?
Yoga Teacher Training In Goa
Yoga TTC In Goa on every corner you will meet Sadhus – the Indian “Yogis” running the nomadic life, living according to ancient scriptures and dedicated to their spiritual journeys. They renounced their families, their comfort, money and even houses as they believe the whole Universe is now their house. They trust completely to the Existence – traveling without any fear (and money) to sacred places all over India, sleeping in the caves, on the streets, in the jungles. They keep on walking (as they believe everything in Nature needs to flow) and they put all the efforts to improve their self-discipline, dedication to Higher Consciousness (called sometimes God here) and Sadhana – the spiritual practice. They meditate, they pray, they chant, trying to reach Samadhi – the state of the Oneness with the Universe. They practice asanas as well – to keep their body healthy and fit, but this asana practice (without mats and props) is just a small part of their whole lifestyle. To see them and to be next to them was an amazing experience.

Yoga Teacher Training India
Yoga Teacher Training Course in India was very intensive for me, not only because I practiced few hours a day, not only because of the discipline in our ashram (and starting each day at 5.30 am!), not only because all our day I spent in the yoga school sitting in crossed-leg position, and not only because the anatomy is hard to memorize… It was intensive, because it touched something really deep inside me, it forced me to face all my life and my problems, fears and wounds… to clean them, to let them go and free my mind and soul.

This process made a lot of sense, and the end I re-discovered that I am actually blessed and happy, just the way I am, and I need to love myself, keeping this unique connection with myself…I still don’t know what Spirituality is, I will never become Sadhu, but I know that headstand is not the aim of Yoga, neither Pincha Mayurasana and all these beautiful pictures which you can share on Facebook with your friends. Yoga Teacher Training Course I think to visit India to understand Yoga is a must, otherwise you will just keep on training your body, your joints and muscles and Yoga is not only about that. Not in India.
