Published By Miss Soniya Rangher

Still dreaming of becoming a yoga teacher this year? There’s still time.

If you’ve been searching for a yoga teacher training in Thailand in November 2026 or December 2026, you haven’t missed your chance. Diksha Yoga School still has a few places on its two final 200-hour yoga teacher training in Thailand batches of the year, on the beach in Koh Samui: 5–27 November 2026 and 5–27 December 2026.

In 23 days you can go from dedicated practitioner to certified teacher, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 — and start the new year ready to teach.

Each batch takes a maximum of 10 students, so places are genuinely limited. The November batch starts in under two weeks.

Yoga teacher training Thailand December 2026 – morning practice by Bang Por Beach, Koh Samui

Why November and December are a good time to train in Koh Samui

Unlike most of Thailand, Koh Samui gets its rainy season late in the year, from October to December, with the heaviest rain usually in November. That’s the honest picture — and it’s also why the island feels so different now: lush, green and quiet, with showers that often pass quickly. Through December the rain usually begins to ease as the island heads into its dry, sunny season from January.

  • A quiet island: fewer visitors on the north coast means calm beaches and an unhurried pace for study and practice.
  • Escape the northern winter: swap cold, dark days for warm sea air, coconut palms and sunsets over Koh Phangan.
  • End the year with purpose: the December batch finishes on 27 December, so you can see in 2027 as a certified teacher.
  • Explore on Sundays: Sundays are free — visit the Big Buddha temple, wander Fisherman’s Village in Bophut, cool off at the Na Muang waterfalls, or simply rest.

November or December 2026: which batch is right for you?

Both batches follow the same curriculum, teachers and schedule. The difference is timing and weather.

Is a last-minute yoga teacher training right for you?

Booking a teacher training a few weeks out sounds rushed, but for many students it’s the moment that finally makes it happen. A last-minute place can be a good fit if:

  • You’ve been thinking about it for years. Waiting for the “perfect time” often means it never comes. A fixed date turns intention into action. Explore our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Koh Samui, Thailand and take the first step towards becoming a certified yoga teacher.
  • You have a gap you didn’t expect. A contract has ended, a job change is coming, or a sabbatical is free. Twenty-three days is short enough to fit in. Read our guide on how to prepare for yoga teacher training to plan your journey with confidence.
  • You want to start 2027 differently. Finishing on 27 November or 27 December means you begin the new year with a qualification, a daily practice and a new community. Discover our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, India and explore what a residential yoga training experience can offer.
  • You already practise regularly. You don’t need to be advanced, but a steady practice means you can arrive without months of preparation. Learn more about the difference between Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga and understand which practices may support your yoga teacher training journey.

Only have a week and a half? Our 11-day 100-hour yoga teacher training in Thailand runs at the same resort, with batches on 5–15 and 16–26 November and 5–15 and 16–26 December 2026 (from €1,400). It’s a focused immersion to deepen your practice before a full 200-hour course.

It may be better to choose a 2027 batch if you need a visa that takes weeks to arrange, can’t get time off work, or want to train in Koh Samui’s dry season. Our full dates and fees list batches every month from January to May 2027.

Students from more than 80 countries have trained with Diksha Yoga School.

“One of the best things in my life.” — Jasmine, 200-hour graduate

Leigh, another 200-hour graduate, wrote that although the course was only a month long, it would shape her path for a long time — she learned far more than asanas, about what yoga really means. Students also mention the small, family-like group, the care of the teachers and the food again and again.
