Best 300 Hour Yoga TTC in Goa, Every season, students message us from all over the world with the same question: “Should I do the 200-hour or the 300-hour training in Goa?”
The honest answer is rarely about hours. It’s about where you are right now. Have you trained before? Have you taught? Do you want to build a foundation, or refine one you already have?
At Diksha Yoga School, we run both levels in Goa:
- 200-hour 23 days, residential, for beginner to intermediate students
- 300-hour 28 days, residential, at The Lotus Sutra, Arambol Beach, for interme diate to advanced students
This guide compares the two side by side, helps you find your level in four questions, and explains how to complete your RYT 500 in Goa with one school.

Table of Contents
The Short Answer

Our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa is for teachers who already have a foundation and want to build on it. It runs for 28 days at The Lotus Sutra on Arambol Beach.
It doesn’t repeat the basics. It takes subjects you already know and asks harder questions about them.
What’s different at 300 hours
| Subject | At 200 hours you learn… | At 300 hours you explore… |
| Asana | Postures, alignment, modifications | Advanced asana, variations and intelligent progression |

| Philosophy | Core teachings | Applying philosophy to ethics, teaching and daily life |
| Teaching practice | Building confidence | Detailed feedback on timing, cueing and class presence |
Who it’s for
- Certified teachers: You’ve finished 200 hours and want depth rather than more information.
- Teachers who feel stuck: Your classes work, but you sense they could be more intentional.
- RYT 500 candidates: You want the higher Yoga Alliance credential for studios, retreats or teacher training roles.

Find Your Level in Four Questions
Answer these honestly.
1. Have you completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training?
If not, start with 200 hours. The 300-hour course builds on that foundation and assumes you have it.
2. Can you plan and teach a 60-minute class to a mixed group?
If yes, you’re likely ready for 300 hours. If you’re unsure, a few months of teaching first will show you what you need.
3. What frustrates you about your teaching right now?
If you can name specific gaps, such as sequencing, cueing or adapting for different bodies, 300 hours will address them. If you can’t name them yet, teach more first.
4. Are you ready to have your teaching observed and questioned?
The 300-hour training expects you to examine your habits openly. If that excites you, you’re ready.
Still unsure? Send us your background on WhatsApp and we’ll give you an honest recommendation, even if it’s “not yet.”
The RYT 500 Path: 200 + 300 Hours in Goa
Diksha Yoga School is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300). That gives you a clear path:
200-hour (23 days) → register as RYT 200 → 300-hour (28 days) → register as RYT 500
Training both levels with one school means you build on a curriculum you already know, with teachers who already know your practice.
Back to back, or a season apart?
| Option | Best for | Keep in mind |
| Back to back (about 7 weeks in Goa) | Students with time now who want to stay immersed | It’s intensive. Arrive rested and plan a few days’ break in between. |
| Return a later season | Students who want to teach first | Teaching in between gives you real questions to bring to the 300-hour course. |
Neither is wrong. Many teachers find that a gap spent teaching makes the 300-hour course far more valuable.

Training in Arambol
Arambol sits at the northern tip of Goa, near the Maharashtra border. It’s quieter and less commercial than the busy beaches further south, and it has long attracted yoga practitioners, musicians and travellers from around the world.

For a 28-day training, that atmosphere matters:
- A slower rhythm: The town is small and walkable, with fewer distractions to compete with early starts and evening study.
- The sea, minutes away: A sunset walk on Arambol Beach is the easiest way to let a long day settle.
- A yoga community: Arambol has a long tradition of yoga and meditation, so living by your practice feels natural here.
- Nature nearby: Sweet Water Lake sits just behind the beach, and quieter beaches such as Mandrem and Keri are a short ride away for rest days.
The Lotus Sutra, on Arambol Beach, is where you’ll live, practise and study for the 300-hour course.

A Word From Yogini Manisha
A strong yoga teacher is not created by collecting certificates alone.
The deeper work is learning to observe, understand and respond: to your own practice, to your students and to the energy of the room.
