A residential yoga teacher training gives you the opportunity to learn alongside other students while becoming part of a focused yoga community.

The environment is designed to encourage questions, personal practice, interaction with teachers, and practical learning throughout the course.

Real Learning, Not Just a Certificate

Our focus is on helping students understand yoga rather than simply completing a number of classroom hours.

Throughout the training, students develop their personal practice while exploring yoga philosophy, anatomy, pranayama, meditation, alignment, sequencing, and teaching skills.

What Will You Learn During the 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa?

This Our Yoga Teacher Training is designed to take you beyond simply practicing yoga postures. During our course, you learn how to practice, understand, experience and teach yoga with confidence. Our training combines traditional yogic knowledge with practical teaching skills, anatomy, alignment, breathwork, meditation and modern class methodology.

Throughout the course, our experienced teachers guide you through both personal practice and teaching practice, helping you gradually develop the knowledge, awareness and confidence required to lead safe and meaningful yoga classes.

Hatha Yoga

During our Hatha Yoga sessions, you build a strong foundation in traditional yoga practice. You learn foundational asanas, correct alignment, breath awareness and mindful movement while understanding how each posture affects the body and mind.

Our teachers guide you step by step so you can refine your own practice and understand how to safely demonstrate and teach foundational postures. The emphasis is not simply on achieving a posture, but on developing awareness, stability, breathing and conscious movement.

Vinyasa Flow

Our Vinyasa Flow training introduces you to the art of connecting breath with movement. You learn how individual postures can be linked together through smooth and purposeful transitions.

During practical sessions, you explore sequencing, pacing, transitions, breath coordination and the structure of a Vinyasa class. You also begin creating and teaching your own sequences, allowing you to develop the confidence to guide students through a complete flowing practice.

Ashtanga Yoga

During our Ashtanga Yoga sessions, you are introduced to the traditional principles and structured approach of Ashtanga practice.

You learn about breath-led movement, foundational postures, the importance of consistency and the relationship between movement, breath and concentration. Our training helps you understand the discipline behind Ashtanga while developing a strong and mindful personal practice.

Pranayama

Pranayama is an important part of our daily yoga training. You learn to develop greater awareness of your breath and explore traditional yogic breathing techniques.

Our teachers explain how to approach pranayama with awareness, preparation and proper technique. Through regular practice, you develop a deeper understanding of the connection between breath, concentration, energy and mental awareness.

Meditation

Meditation training helps you develop stillness, concentration and inner awareness alongside your physical yoga practice.

During our course, you are introduced to different meditation approaches, including concentration practices, mindfulness and guided meditation. Regular practice gives you the opportunity to experience meditation personally before learning how to introduce appropriate techniques into your own classes.

Yoga Philosophy

Our Yoga Philosophy sessions help you understand yoga as a complete way of life rather than only a physical practice.

You explore the traditional teachings that form the foundation of yoga and learn how these principles can be applied to your own practice, teaching and everyday life.

We explore:

  • Patanjali Yoga Sutras and their relevance to yoga practice
  • The Eight Limbs of Yoga
  • Yamas and Niyamas and their practical application
  • Yogic lifestyle and daily awareness
  • The mind, consciousness and inner transformation

Rather than studying philosophy only as theory, our teachers encourage you to connect these teachings with your personal experience and developing role as a yoga teacher.

Anatomy & Physiology

Understanding the human body is essential for becoming a responsible yoga teacher. Our Anatomy & Physiology training gives you a practical foundation for understanding how the body moves during yoga practice.

You learn about:

  • Skeletal system
  • Major muscle groups
  • Joints and their movement
  • Basic biomechanics
  • Movement patterns
  • Alignment principles
  • Safe yoga practice
  • Injury prevention

Our approach connects anatomy with actual yoga postures, helping you understand why alignment matters, how the body moves and how to adapt practices for safer teaching.

Yoga Alignment

Alignment training teaches you how to look beyond the shape of a posture and understand what is happening within the body.

During our practical classes, our teachers help you observe posture, positioning, stability, movement and individual differences between students. You learn how to refine your own alignment and how to offer appropriate guidance to others.

This practical understanding helps you develop the ability to observe, adjust and teach asanas more safely and effectively.

Teaching Methodology

Teaching methodology is where you begin bringing everything you have learned together.

During our course, you don’t only watch experienced teachers—you get opportunities to practice teaching yourself. You gradually learn how to stand in front of a group, demonstrate postures, give clear instructions and create a structured yoga class.

Our teaching methodology includes:

  • Demonstration techniques
  • Clear and effective verbal cues
  • Basic yoga sequencing
  • Class planning and structure
  • Student observation
  • Appropriate corrections and adjustments
  • Managing the pace of a class
  • Building teaching confidence
  • Creating a safe and supportive learning environment

Through regular teaching practice and feedback from our teachers, you learn to move from being a yoga student to thinking and communicating like a yoga teacher.

By the end of our training, you have not only studied yoga—you have practiced it, taught it, received feedback and developed a stronger understanding of how to guide others with greater confidence and awareness.

Why Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa Is Different

There are many 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, but the experience can be very different from one school to another. At Diksha Yoga School, our approach is not simply to give students a list of subjects to study. We focus on helping you experience yoga through practice, understand the principles behind it and develop practical skills that you can carry into your own teaching.

During our training, our teachers combine traditional yoga teachings with practical guidance, demonstrations, corrections, discussion and teaching practice. This allows you to learn not only what to practice, but also why you practice it and how to guide another student safely.

Hatha Yoga: Build a Strong Foundation

During our Hatha Yoga classes, we focus on foundational postures, alignment, breathing and awareness. Our teachers demonstrate the asanas and guide you through practical corrections so you can understand how a posture should feel and how it can be adapted when necessary.

Rather than rushing through a large number of postures, we encourage students to develop awareness, stability, correct breathing and mindful movement.

Vinyasa Flow: Learn to Connect Breath and Movement

Our Vinyasa training focuses on creating a natural connection between breath and movement.

You learn how to link postures, use transitions effectively and understand the basic principles of sequencing. As your confidence develops, you have opportunities to create and practice teaching short sequences while receiving guidance and feedback from our teachers.

Pranayama: Understand the Breath

Pranayama is taught as a practical experience rather than simply a theoretical subject.

Our teachers introduce traditional breathing techniques and explain their purpose, preparation and appropriate practice. You develop greater awareness of your breath while learning how breathwork can support concentration, relaxation and a deeper yoga practice.

Meditation: Develop Concentration and Awareness

Our meditation sessions give you dedicated time to experience stillness and develop greater mental awareness.

You explore practical techniques for concentration, mindfulness and meditation while learning how these practices can complement physical yoga and support a balanced yogic lifestyle.

Anatomy: Connect Knowledge to Movement

Instead of learning anatomy only from diagrams or theory, we connect what you study directly to yoga postures and movement.

You learn about the skeletal system, muscles, joints, movement and alignment and begin to understand how these areas relate to safe yoga practice. This helps you become more aware of individual differences and make more informed decisions when guiding students.

Yoga Philosophy: Bring Ancient Wisdom Into Daily Life

Our Yoga Philosophy sessions go beyond memorising traditional concepts.

We explore teachings such as the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Eight Limbs of Yoga, Yamas and Niyamas, and discuss how these principles can relate to your own practice, behaviour, mindset and everyday life.

Our aim is to help you understand yoga as a way of living and developing awareness—not simply as a physical exercise.

Teaching Methodology: Practice Before You Teach

One of the most important differences in our training is the opportunity to practice teaching.

You learn how to demonstrate postures, use clear verbal instructions, structure a basic class, observe students and provide appropriate corrections. As you practice, our teachers offer feedback to help you improve your communication and teaching confidence.

This practical experience helps bridge the gap between learning yoga and actually teaching yoga.

Personal Guidance From Experienced Teachers

We believe that teacher training should feel personal and supportive.

Throughout our course, students have opportunities to interact directly with our teachers, ask questions, receive guidance and refine their practice. Our goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable learning, making mistakes, asking questions and gradually becoming more confident.

A Learning Experience, Not Just a Certificate

Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa is designed to give you more than a certificate at the end of the course.

We want you to leave with a stronger personal practice, a deeper understanding of yoga, practical knowledge of teaching and greater confidence in sharing yoga with others.

You don’t simply study yoga with us—you practice it, experience it, understand it and begin learning how to teach it.

Before You Book: What to Know About Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa

Choosing a 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa is an important decision. Before booking your place, we want you to have a clear understanding of what our training is like, what is expected from students and what you can expect from us.

Our course is designed as an intensive residential yoga learning experience. It is rewarding, immersive and practical, but it also requires commitment, regular participation and an openness to learning.

Who Should Join Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa?

Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa is suitable for students who want to deepen their personal yoga practice, understand traditional yoga more deeply or begin developing the skills required to teach yoga.

You can join if you are:

  • A beginner or intermediate yoga practitioner
  • Looking to deepen your personal yoga practice
  • Interested in Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga
  • Interested in learning Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Philosophy
  • Considering becoming a yoga teacher
  • Looking for an immersive residential yoga experience in Goa
  • Willing to participate in daily practice, theory and teaching sessions

You do not need to be an advanced practitioner or highly flexible to join. A willingness to learn, practice consistently and remain open to feedback is more important than how advanced your postures are.

Who May Not Be Suitable for This Course?

Our training may not be the right choice if you are looking for a relaxed holiday with only occasional yoga classes.

This is a structured teacher training program, so students should be prepared for daily yoga practice, theory sessions, early mornings, practical learning and teaching practice.

If your primary goal is simply to relax on the beach without following a course schedule, a yoga retreat may be more suitable than an intensive teacher training.

What Is the Physical Intensity Like?

Yoga teacher training involves regular physical practice. You should expect daily asana sessions alongside pranayama, meditation, philosophy, anatomy and teaching methodology.

The intensity can vary depending on the day’s schedule and your own level of practice. Our teachers encourage students to work with awareness rather than compete with others.

You are encouraged to respect your body’s limitations, communicate with your teachers and practice safely.

Attendance & Participation

Because this is a structured 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, consistent attendance and active participation are important.

Students should be prepared to participate in practical classes, theory sessions, teaching exercises and other scheduled parts of the program. Arriving on time and staying engaged helps you get the most from the training.

If you know that you will need to miss classes or arrive late, please discuss this with us before booking.

Residential Accommodation

Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa is a residential experience, allowing you to stay close to the training environment and fully immerse yourself in the course.

Your accommodation provides a place to rest between classes and connect with fellow students. Room arrangements and availability depend on the package you book.

If you have specific accommodation requirements, we recommend discussing them with us before confirming your booking.

Food During the Course

We provide vegetarian / sattvic-style meals during the training.

The food is designed to support a yogic lifestyle and regular practice. Vegan requirements can be discussed with us in advance.

Our food approach is intentionally simple and nourishing rather than focused on heavy or highly processed meals.

Free Time

Although the course is intensive, you will have periods of free time between scheduled sessions.

You can use this time to rest, explore the local area, spend time at the beach, study, connect with other students or simply recover from the day’s practice.

However, students should understand that the course schedule comes first. Free time should not be confused with having the flexibility of a normal holiday.

Weather in Goa

Goa has a tropical climate, and weather conditions can vary depending on the season in which you join.

Warm temperatures, humidity and occasional rain may affect your experience, so it is useful to check the expected weather for your course dates and pack accordingly.

Comfortable yoga clothing, light clothing, personal essentials and anything you need for changing weather conditions are recommended.

Getting to Goa

Goa is served by two airports:

  • Manohar International Airport (GOX), Mopa
  • Dabolim Airport (GOI)

Your most convenient airport can depend on your flight route and where you are travelling from. We recommend checking your arrival airport and transfer arrangements before booking your flight.

For the latest airport transfer information and arrival instructions, contact our team before your course begins.

What Is Included?

Your course package includes the elements specified in your selected booking, such as:

Please check your individual booking confirmation for the exact inclusions of your package.

What May Not Be Included?

Depending on your booking package, expenses such as international or domestic flights, visa costs, personal expenses, travel insurance, additional activities and expenses outside the scheduled program may not be included.

We recommend confirming the complete inclusions and exclusions with us before making travel arrangements.

Payment Terms

A deposit or booking payment is required to secure your place on the course. The remaining balance and payment deadlines depend on the booking terms applicable to your course.

Before making your payment, make sure you understand the payment schedule and any applicable conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Please review our current cancellation and refund terms carefully before booking.

Cancellation conditions can vary depending on the course, booking date and payment stage. If you have concerns about your travel plans, visa, flights or other circumstances that could affect your participation, please contact us before making your booking.

Our Honest Advice Before You Book

Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa is not designed to be a holiday disguised as a course. It is an immersive learning experience where you will practice yoga, study its foundations, learn about the body and breath, explore yoga philosophy and begin developing practical teaching skills.

There may be challenging days, early mornings and moments when you feel tired or outside your comfort zone. That is also part of the learning experience.

If you come with curiosity, commitment and an open mind, our goal is to support you throughout the journey and help you get as much value as possible from your time with us.
